Woman and Child Development Program It's pretty stifling to consider living with so little freedom and control over one's own life. In India, women are subjected to a variety of hardships on a daily basis. Women have been forced to fight for equality for ages in all societies. Thousands of Indian women are being treated unfairly and ostracised in society, which leaves them lacking the knowledge and self-assurance needed to lead happy and honourable lives. Incredibly, 245 million women in India are illiterate at the moment. This drastically restricts their status and the options they have in society. SHOP FOR A CAUSE Through the delivery of vocational training and professional skills, our project Rooh (Awakening Women's Soul) allows women to produce self-employment and a means of income.
