Child Welfare Programmes in India
Lakshyam was established in 2012 by a young social entrepreneur who also brought together a group of like-minded individuals to work for society's improvement with an emphasis on women's empowerment, holistic child development, and child education. We set out on this journey with the hope of building a world where every child receives unconditional love, is given the chance to have a bright future, that no child's innocence will be tarnished by the horrors of child labour, and that women's health and ability to support their families will be taken seriously.
Child Welfare Programmes in India
Parents are forced into the same unfair world of child labour that they have grown up in because they are unable to pay for basic necessities like food, water, and shelter. Few people live lives that are filled with difficulty and unfairness because they can hardly save money to enrol their child in school.
The attention and efforts of Lakshyam focus on increasing the school enrollment at the primary level and reducing school drop-out rates, particularly for girls.
Lakshyam believes that education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty.
Basic Education is the human right of every individual as laid down in the International Human Rights Law by the United Nations.
